This is a one of a kind Marblehead class model yacht that was built and sailed in Marblehead, MA, until she disappeared in the early 1960's. She was discovered in a boat yard in Maine by Les Connor and returned to Marblehead where she was purchased by John Stoudt. He restored her and rigged her for R/C sailing. She is quite fast, competitive, and a lot of fun to sail.
Plans have been completed for Tritonia a 1934 Marblehead class model yacht. They are now available along with a 29 page booklet. A redesign (Tritonia II) of the hull was undertaken and completed in 2013 during Elements of Design Class at WoodenBoat School.
The booklet describes the how the boat was acquired, the restoration process, sailing improvements, a table of offsets, sail plan, construction details, a look at period hull shapes, a gallery of Tritonia under sail, and recommendations for building Tritonia II.
